Doctor Who Series 7 Episode Rankings

Does the 50th count as part of the seventh series? I have decided it does not. This series felt more solid and consistent when compared to the wildly erratic series 6, however, I don't think there were as many stand out episodes. So here are my rankings of every episode from series 7 of Doctor Who.
Just a bad episode. Really bad. The Cybermen were made into the least scariest versions of themselves that they have ever been. We had irritating children, we had a plot that wasn't make sense, and we had Clara being turned into some army general and everyone just going along with it as if it was fine.
This was something that Doctor Who very, very rarely is - boring! Add in a character that really, really grates on me and you have Cold War - I will never listen to Ultravox again!
All the makings of a great story, but sometimes a supernatural power being linked to a sci-fi reason can become a bit tiresome. Billed as a horror story, it had its moments, and there is a great cast, but The Haunting of Villa Diodati and Midnight did it better.

Not overly memorable, a bit like the villain, who's name I have actually forgotten.
Ah, my old friends UNIT. There were some great moments in this episode, and it was good fun, but wow, this truly was just a wave of the sonic and the problem is solved kind of episode.
I do know that was down to the actor playing the villain being a difficult shit, but even so...
It all felt a bit rushed, which was a shame. Visiting the Doctor's grave on a huge battlefield, an impossible girl floating around the Doctor's lives saving him multiple times, what happens when the Doctor's victories turn to defeats, there are so many things going on with so little time to get them resolved. All those things would be fascinating to see as well, but see in more depth.
I also felt River wasn't all that needed in this, perhaps more time with Clara, or seeing how Vastra coped thinking Jenny was gone.
It felt like people were just jumping in the Doctor's grave willy-nilly just to get to John Hurt.
A bit too twee perhaps?
An episode I found I enjoyed more on a rewatch, that didn't stop me still finding the brothers bland as fuck!
One of Mark Gatiss' best episodes with a fun, OTT villain in Mrs Gillyflower.
This was a hard series to rank, there were very few stand out episodes, and a lot of pretty decent ones that don't get much love. This is an example, a companion exit episode, it was good, had some great moments, but is it a Doomsday or a Journey's End? Not really. Perhaps I never fully bonded with Amy and Rory, I love Karen and Arthur, but Amy was so fucking rude and a bit of a shit to Rory, and he was a bit of a doormat.
I have to say, I am probably in the camp that doesn't enjoy the Statue of Liberty as a Weeping Angel, it looked great, but come on! The city that never sleeps? Nobody saw it? Please!
Looks amazing, sounded amazing. If I gloss over my hatred for that bloody leaf then this is a great episode. Banger speech, banger song.
I might have placed this higher but for the divorce. I have moaned about that already so what I will say about this episode is Jenna Coleman is brilliant.

A guilty pleasure, this gets way too much hate! David Bradley is brilliant as the villain, the story is great, I enjoyed the TARDIS gang, and Mark Williams as Brian is inspired.
Doctor Who does Doctor Who things at the end as Brian enjoys a sandwich in the TARDIS over looking Earth, one of the great moments of the series. Yeah, there wasn't a whole load of dinosaurs, but this was fun, fun, fun!
An underrated gem. The Doctor driving up the Shard with Murray Gold banging out a tune is such a great moment. What a bonkers and brilliant show!
One of my favourite Christmas specials, no, I tell a lie, it is one my favourite episodes. The Paternoster Gang, Victorian Clara, the epic TARDIS entrance, the visuals, Richard E Grant, I loved it.
I suspect you probably disagree with me? Let me know why in the comments below.
