So the dust has settled, Billie Piper has returned, and we are none the wiser as to what the fuck is going to happen to the show in the future.
I have also remembered how horrible the world is now Doctor Who has stopped. I can live in my little Doctor Who cocoon for 8 weeks or so and not think of much else, but reality is hitting now.
Still, I can forget about it all again for a short while with my ranking of every episode from series 15 (season 2) of Doctor Who.

I didn't vibe with it. I was so confused watching it the first time around, I don't think I was all that more clear the second either.
I did not like the ending either. Why would you bow at the feet of someone who has helped kidnap you and held you hostage? Why would you give the bloke who ran the whole operation your barbers? Why?
I was enjoying seeing the Doctor angry again, and the betrayal he felt, but he just shrugged it off by the end.
I just remembered Belinda seeing the little girl as well. That led nowhere!

RTD went all Moffat on us and I'm not sure it worked. In these shorter series, losing so much time with the Doctor and companion really hurts the show. Just when it looked like we were seeing Fifteen get more darker as he thought about Susan he's shacked up with Belinda as John Smith.
This isn't really a look at anything like Human Nature and Family of Blood was either, no delving into the Doctor's mind.
I felt it kind of fell a bit flat after such a banging series. The Rani wasn't someone I was at all interested in, and the same applied for Omega. I think you will struggle now to bring anyone back from the classic series, especially when you bill the show as a new start.
There's no reason it even has to be a return of a classic villain in the finale either, I know that might take away some epicness, but then that would complete depend on how good the villain is. I wouldn't have been disappointed if Maestro returned, or the Silence, or Lux.

A really good opening episode, but pretty standard fare. I wasn't overly keen on Belinda's initial reaction to being kidnapped by robots and then finding herself on an alien planet, it didn't seem like a reaction anyone would give.
This baffles me slightly, as RTD has clearly tried to grab bits from his first run for this era, and the best bit about series 1 was how human Rose was. The companions haven't been like that. There didn't seem as much fear and wonder about the universe from Belinda and Ruby as we saw from Rose, Martha and Donna.
Al was a bit of a dweeb, and became the blueprint for the villains this series. As wonderful as it has been, we have severely lacked on the villain front.

Some brilliant moments, but I don't think I can get over the whole Belinda/Poppy bit. Like I'll forever not get that.
So many characters offered nothing in this. Mel is never going to be Sarah Jane 2.0, Rose said one line and the Vlinx is becoming a fucking pain. Mel and the Vlinx came into UNIT with a whole load of fanfare then did bugger all.
I am gutted Ncuti has gone, but I dread to think how this episode would have been received if Belinda became a Mum and they had a dance and that was that. It would have gone down like a shit sandwich. Seeing Jodie and Billie made this episode, and they were both bundled in last minute.
With that all said, Fifteen riding on Rani's hover thing, the fight with the bone monsters, the moment with Thirteen - yes, loved those. Pure fun, it was an absolute joy!

I rewatched this recently and it's definitely better second time around. I enjoyed seeing the Doctor be a mean shit, and we got to see a bit more of this as the series went on. Ncuti was very good in these moments, and it has left me wishing we had more Ncuti.
This felt like two stories in one, and I guess in hindsight, we got the end of both those stories after The Reality War.

I loved it. I am not one who looks into meanings of things too much, I just enjoy Doctor Who. I know a few people were shitty about the way Kid was a victim and the Doctor tortured him, but correct me if I am wrong, he was going to murder a trillion people and he seemed to be having a jolly good time doing it.
The Gaza conflict is not something Doctor Who can solve, so I am not sure why there was so much talk about that. I saw a shitty company, doing shitty things, making the world a worst place by making people do shitty things. The world in a nutshell right now!
All together now.....
Mike and Gary were brilliant, seeing the Doctor lose his shit was brilliant, the visuals of this episode were brilliant.
The Doctor flying through space on a confetti canon? Come on! Only Doctor Who can do stuff like this! So good!

Millie Gibson is a star, she has carried two episodes on her own. Conrad, at this point, was a fascinating villain, as is the Doctor Who way, that got slightly ruined come finale time.
I was shook by the twist, it is very rare I get caught out that much! This is UNIT's best story in modern Who in my opinion, and it was great watching the world react to Conrad's lies.
Now, if only I could find a couple of Shreek to leave with Trump and Farage...

This is my kind of Doctor Who. Creepy. We haven't had enough of this during the Ncuti era. When Doctor Who gets these episodes right they are always stunning. Think Blink, Waters of Mars, and of course, Midnight.
Rose Ayling-Ellis is brilliant in this, and I really enjoyed seeing her struggle, I am a horrible person I know. Some struggle and turmoil is always good though right?
I enjoyed this being the Midnight entity, it didn't take anything away from Midnight for me.

So much fun! An episode I know I will watch over and over again. I was blown away the first time I watched this.
Lux was amazing, Lux looked amazing.
But I will forever love this episode for the fans telling the Doctor they love him, and that he needs to go and save the day. Love it!
I do not in anyway see that as RTD slating fans. I thought it was bloody lovely.
As always, this is just my opinion, and I am sure a lot of people will not agree in the slightest with this. That's cool, I won't be offended, but you can still let me know in the comments below.
